History
The Occupational Rehabilitation Group of Canada (ORGOC) has been in existence in the private sector since 1990, providing disability case management services to Workers Compensation Boards, private insurance companies, business and government organizations. We pride ourselves in providing pragmatic and results oriented intervention strategies, which decrease the costs and human suffering associated with absenteeism from the workplace.
Our Founding Partner, Mike Manning, has a master's degree in vocational rehabilitation, plus nine years of experience in senior management with Workers Compensation Boards in Manitoba and Australia. He is keenly aware of the issues facing businesses in the area of workers compensation costs. He also has an inside knowledge base of the practices and procedures of Workers Compensation Boards, which is useful to businesses in their dealings with compensation issues.
Our Managing Partner, Don Smith, comes from a counseling background prior to joining the company in 1999. He has been a partner since 2004. Mr. Smith has developed a specialty in the stress related disabilities. He has developed unique protocols and processes in case management of complex cases, addictions, depression and other mental health matters. He has been asked to present at a number of conferences on case managing complex disability cases and the hidden disabilities.
