Our
Vocational
Rehabilitation Consultants possess excellent
skills in determining the needs of an individual,
as well as their potential for successful
vocational rehabilitation/return
to work. |
| |
|
| |
With
a thorough evaluation of an individual’s
circumstances, we can prepare a rehabilitation
plan specifying concrete and effective recommendations
which assist the individual in moving forward
to a level of function commensurate with their
pre-disability functioning. |

| Vocational
Assessments |
 |
| An
O•R•G Canada comprehensive
Vocational Assessment reports on the
individual’s medical, psychosocial
and vocational status. It may also include
vocational evaluations such as interest,
academic, aptitude, dexterity and perception
testing; an individual’s work
habits, behaviors and medical conditions,
as well as the conditions under which
the individual learns best. A thorough
interview is done with the client. Wherever
necessary, and whenever possible, we
contact other treatment providers, specialists,
physiotherapists, psychologists and/or
other significant collaterals, for enhanced
information and understanding of an
individual’s situation. |
|
| |
Transferable
Skills Analysis (TSA) |
| |
Where
a Vocational Assessment may deem an individual
unable to return to their pre-disability employment,
O•R•G Canada provides a Transferable
Skills Analysis (TSA) – an assessment
of the individual’s existing skill sets
which, along with their functional abilities,
education and experience, are matched to various
positions requiring similar skill sets. |
| |
|
| |
An
O•R•G Canada TSA Report recommends
alternative employment options considering
a number of different vocations. O•R•G
Canada uses the Quick NOC Pro software program,
which provides suitable occupations for consideration. |

Labor
Market Research (LMR) |
| |
O•R•G
Canada’s Labor Market Research (LMR)
provides information on an individual’s
earning capacity in those positions identified
in a TSA, as well as additional, related information
on job vacancies and availability (both historical
and projected), wage scales, necessary qualifications
and the physical demands required for those
positions. During this process, we are in
contact with various organizations, many of
whom we can recruit to join our expansive
resource list of employers who provide our
clients with valuable work experience and
job-shadowing. |

Residual
Employment Assessment |
| |
O•R•G
Canada continues to provide services to the
Legal community in addition to the insurance
industry. When litigation has been necessary,
our experienced staff can provide pre- and
post-disability vocational and earning potential
to assist in this process, thus identifying
loss of future income. |

| "I
have utilized O•R•G
Canada
in the past for Occupational Assessments,
and was very pleased with their level
of quality and service provided. A 4
year relationship through our Non-Profit
Employment Service for the disabled
was very beneficial to the forward movement
of our clients, and their level of professionalism
and assessments were often critical
to our need. Thanks O•R•G
Canada." -
